FG launches post-NYSC job scheme to carter for 20,000 graduates annually

President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday launched Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme designed to create new alternatives for 20,000 latest graduates yearly.

Talking throughout the ceremony on the presidential villa, Abuja, he assured that it could present a possibility for mentors who have been already engaged in varied industries, gained related expertise and constructed capability through the years to offer mentorship and help for younger Nigerians.

The president defined: “Past the talents and work expertise, we shall be constructing a brand new tradition of mentorship and steering that may chart a brand new course for abilities improvement and work expertise in our nation.

“We imagine that as this programme creates new alternatives for 20,000 latest graduates yearly, the beneficiaries will use the alternatives offered to them and maximize their 12 months of engagement.”

In accordance with him, “The jubilee programme will present a pathway for younger Nigerians to achieve work expertise in prime tier organisations, gaining related abilities and constructing the appropriate networks for the longer term in varied sectors together with data and communications expertise, monetary companies, commerce, manufacturing, agriculture and agro-processing.

“Different sectors embrace mining, telecommunications, artistic industries and expertise, schooling, well being, analysis and improvement, and public sector establishments. We imagine that constructing the appropriate abilities and experiences throughout these sectors are vital to maintain the financial progress we’re experiencing.’’

He mentioned the programme will construct on different efforts of the federal government to help younger Nigerians such because the N75 billion youth fund within the Ministry of Youth and Sports activities Growth, which was created to help younger Nigerians in enterprise or with enterprise concepts, with N25 billion launched yearly for 3 years.

The president inspired all eligible Nigerians to use for the jubilee programme whereas urging non-public sector organisations to hitch by offering work placement alternatives, mentors and funding.
